Jacqueline Keller Selected as BCSP Exam Subject Matter Expert

CMI has a large team of safety professionals with certifications obtained through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). BCSP has been setting and certifying the technical competency criteria for safety, health and environmental practitioners since 1969. Their mission is to inspire and develop leaders in the field through globally accredited certification, enhancing careers, advancing the profession and protecting people.

An important BCSP certification is the Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST). The CHST provides recognition of dedication to and competency in performing health and safety activities that prevent construction illnesses and injuries. In January, one of CMI’s very own leaders, Jacqueline Keller was selected as one of eleven subject matter experts from around the nation to participate in a CHST exam writing panel held at the BCSP headquarters in Indianapolis, IN. Participants spanned from Alaska, to Texas, Oregon, to New York and places in-between. The two-and-a-half-day workshop focused on developing CHST exam questions and peer-review of those questions. Jackie not only helped BCSP with their mission, but she also honed her own safety and training skills and experienced a rare opportunity to interact with other subject matter experts with a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.

We would like to thank Jackie for her dedication to the profession and her leadership in construction safety arena.
